Ashoka Trees now line the boundary to the erstwhile hibiscus laden house. Years ago, over twenty five varieties of the flower flourished in the tropical weather ofTrivandrum, but unfortunately few remain now. Numerous colours of bougainvilleas radiantly meet you at the gate for an effusive welcome, almost as a tribute to the bygone Hibiscus era.

The ten years old house of Mrs. Promila Devi and her young son is situated in the heart of the city ofTrivandrum, located conveniently close to all facilities. The three storied house fascinatingly emulates the slope it was built on; an answer to the mystery of how three guava trees are planted on the first floor garden. The green patch on the first floor is definitely a pleasant surprise.

Six spacious rooms on two floors have common seating area abundant with many collectables and an old wooden swing on one floor. Apt for a large family, the rooms on one floor with the kitchen stand as a separate unit. Though the rooms are not on ground level, the staircase is guarded with a gate, to abstain children from climbing steps unattended.

The kitchen and dining area on the first floor can be used by guests themselves incase they want to draw up a meal. Otherwise, a wide variety of food is served by the host.
