Located 10 kms away from the main Munnar town enjoy the rolling plantations and the pleasant weather of the hill station in the comfort and homely atmosphere of Green Spaces. Located conveniently well out of the town, it is a welcome respite from the hoardes of tourists that visit Munnar. Green Spaces provides that necessary break from crowded holidays, giving you a peaceful ambience.
Set in the midst of plantations, Green Spaces’ personal touch can be seen in every aspect of your stay. The well insulated stone walls with wood flooring and ceiling blend in extremely well with the verdant surroundings, giving it a cottage like feel. Mr. Lijosh and his wife Mrs. Jayalakshmi have ensured minimal use of plastic and the place is as eco conscious as possible. The paintings in the homestay, lamp shades and other furnishings have been designed and also created in some cases by Mr. Lijosh himself. Apart from the great hospitality, enjoy the green environ replete with wildlife and birds, some great Kerala cuisine, the plantation life and nearby sites. The spacious rooms and common deck space make for excellent viewing spots in the property. All in all, the care taken to make the home merge well with the lush surroundings, justifies the name, Green Spaces. Some amount of construction in the nearby buildings is present, but as soon as you enter the property its aesthetic feels makes you removed from the clutter.
A tourism expert herself, Mrs. Jayalakshmi is a wonderful host who understands the nuances of International and Indian travellers both, making your stay comfortable as well as providing you ample privacy. Enjoy the local Kerala food, the chirping birds and the crisp fresh air of Munnar with the family. If you are not in for stepping out, catch up on a good book or just relax at the common deck.
